Connecting Regionally

We are proud of our Baptist heritage but we appreciate working with other community groups and churches of other denominations to deliver services and meet needs within our community.

Feed Nova Scotia —  We support the provincially coordinated effort of Feed NS which seeks to reduce the harmful effects of poverty by contributing directly to our local food bank (staffed by members of The Church of The Holy Spirit on Gaston Rd, Dart.) with targeted donation campaigns every month of the year and by preparing corn chowder once a month for Feed Others Of Dartmouth (at Margaret’s House located on Wentworth St, Dart.).

Joint Choral events — We have partnered with several area churches to combine our choirs to deliver dynamic and powerful choral events.

Funding support — We are grateful that our work with children on Monday afternoons has been recognized by the Dartmouth Community Health Board who have generously supported us with a grant in 2012 and again in 2013.

Joint worship services — on special occasions throughout the year we will partner with other area churches to hold joint worship services.

HRUBA — We actively support our local Halifax Region United Baptist Association’s annual fund raising events in the spring and fall.

CBAC — Members of our congregation represent the church at our denomination’s annual Oasis Convention and when called upon we also love to support them in the delivery of seminars and workshops by providing space, refreshments and volunteers to serve these events and services in our community
